A proven track record, thanks to you.
Here’s what we’ve gotten done together on the Pflugerville City Council, and where I want to take Pflugerville next.
What we’ve accomplished
- Defeated the largest tax hike in Pflugerville history. Stopped the Travis County ESD #2 proposal, roughly $350 million over ten years.
- Lowered the tax rate in four separate years. And in 2021, actually cut the tax bill by lowering the rate and freezing appraisals to give homeowners real, immediate relief.
- Increased the homestead tax exemption 42%. Raised it from $35,000 to $50,000.
- Launched “Pfetch a Ride.” On-demand, 24-hour rideshare-style transit to replace costly, inflexible fixed-route buses.
- Expanded parks & trails. More hike-and-bike trails and new Gilleland Park pool facilities.
- Backs the blue. Fought for the staffing, training, and pay our award-winning Pflugerville Police Department needs to keep every neighborhood safe.
- Improved traffic flow. Championed the widening of Pecan Street, completion of Kelly Lane Phase 2, and the opening of Colorado Sands Drive to relieve congestion near Hendrickson High School, Stonehill, and Falcon Pointe, plus improvements to Pflugerville Parkway and the refurbishment of neighborhood streets.
- Brought back Deutschen Pfest. Moved it to October and made it the biggest and best Pflugerville Pfestival yet.
- Honored Pflugerville’s African American heritage. Made the motion to fund and commemorate the HCA, Pflugerville’s historic African American district.
- Stood with neighbors through the storms. Helped families recover from the 2021 winter storm and the 2023 ice storm, and pushed successfully for increased water and electric backup and redundancy to minimize the effects of future storm events.
These reflect Councilman Rogers’ record of votes and initiatives during his time on the council.

The plan ahead
Trust & transparency at City Hall
You deserve a city government that shows its work. I’ll keep pushing for open books, plain-English budgets, and real public input before big decisions are made. No backroom deals and no surprises on your bill.
Rein in spending & pay down debt
Our city’s spending and debt have climbed too fast. I’ll scrutinize every line item, say no to feel-good megaprojects that saddle taxpayers with decades of payments, and put our dollars back into the core services neighbors actually use.
Keep Pflugerville affordable
Between rising taxes, fees, and prices, too many families are getting squeezed. I’ll fight to hold the tax rate down, protect and grow the homestead exemption, and stop the nickel-and-dime fees that quietly pile up on every household.
A city that works for every neighbor
Pflugerville is one of the most diverse towns in Texas. I’ll make sure every neighbor, in every part of town, has a real seat at the table and a city that listens to, serves, and invests in all our neighborhoods.
